Estelle Tatspaugh Mackey, known as "Bobbie" by her family and friends, died May 11, 1977, at Washington Hospital Center. She was 63. Mrs. Mackey was a legal secretary for 20 years for Cory and Boss, local attorneys. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Laurel, where she had been active in the choir, Sunday School and youth division. Born July 23, 1913 at the family home in Howard County, just outside Laurel, she was the daughter of Wilhelmina and John H. Tatspaugh. She married Frank C. Mackey, Sr., in 1939. He died in 1968. She was a graduate of Laurel High School. Funeral service were held at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Franklin Perry officiating. Interment was at Ft. Lincoln Cemetery. Surviving are a son, Frank C. Mackey, Jr. two sisters, Helen Olson of Hesperia, California, and Anna Shins of Ft. Myers, Florida; one grandson, and two grand daughters.
