He was born Jan. 29, 1948, in Indianola, Sunflower County. Mr. Crowley worked as a conductor for the Kansas City-Southern Railroad for 37 years. He was a member and deacon of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Mr. Crowley was a very good man whose happiness was making sure his family was happy and cared for. If they were happy, he was happy. He loved to work. He would work all day at his job, then come home and work around his home place and work in his garden, giving away many vegetables to people in the community. Materialism meant nothing to him. He was a very simple man who was kind and humble. His family will miss him dearly.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Pinnix Crowley of Mathiston; his mother, Ann Crowley of Mathiston; one daughter, Meriah Burdine of Mathiston; two sons, Josh Crowley and Zach Crowley of Mathiston; and five grandchildren.
Services were Sept. 4 at Fellowship Baptist Church with the Revs. J.D. Harrison, Wade Stevens and Ralph Cain officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Cliff Crowley, Chris Crowley, Thomas Dobbs, Clint Huffman, Jeff Huffman, Sheryl Shurden, Eckle Smith and Larry Vance.
