Rev. Jacob Chamberlain of Jubilee passed away at his home Monday evening, September 10. The funeral took place at Christ Church, Jubilee, Thursday, September 13, Rev. John Wilkenson officiating. From the church the remains were taken to Jubilee cemetery where they were interred in the family lot. Mr. Chamberlain was in his 82nd year and had been a resident of Jubilee for a great many years. He kept his health up to within a few weeks of his death. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Rucker who lives in Peoria. – Peoria Herald
