His birth name is Gregory Wade McGowan. Wade as he is known to family and friends or redryder by the truck drivers. Wade was laid to rest after a two and a half year battle with pain and illness. He was a mountain of a man but a gentle teddy bear with a heart of gold. He was strong as an ox and but had a gentle touch. Wade was a great person he always tried to make you laugh. He always was the sun shine on a gloomy day. Wade was a lot of things to a lot of people. Wade was a good man who worked very hard to take care of his family. It was nothing for him to work 16 to 18 hour days or be away from his family for days due to working. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, he also was a peanut farmer and he loved driving a semi truck. Wade had two sons from his first marriage with sheila johnson. James Robert McGowan and Justin Carl McGowan and when he married his second wife Barbie on May 18, 1996 he also became a dad to her son Jonathon Ross Suniga. Wade & Barbie and the boy's lived in Fredonia Texas. Wade quit driving a truck for the first two years of being married to Barbie and then He began driving again in 1998, He loved driving a semi and being what is called a Bull Hauler. Wade made many people laugh with his stories about the road or funny saying or jokes. The boy's loved going with him when they could there was always a fight over whose turn it was. His wife Barbie also loved going on trips with him it gave them time alone and she got to see things and places. Wade's driving days came to a halt on April 19, 2005 when after several days of driving with little sleep he fell asleep behind the wheel of his Truck. It was almost two hours before they cut him out of the truck Wade almost died that morning. He spent three weeks in the hospital and then went home. Wade's body went thru so much in the wreck. That for the next two and a half years he suffered daily then early the morning of Sept 9, 2007God took Wade home leaving many hearts broken. He is missed daily by family and friends, his wife misses her best friend and soul mate and great loving husband also his hugs, his children miss the great loving dad and great teacher he was they also miss the fishing and camping trips. Wade was able to show Barbie and the boys a lot places that without him they would have never seen. He is missed dearly by his mother Joyce and father Juan McGowan sister Cindy Miller, brothers Allen and Mitchel McGowan and nieces and nephews T.J , Cassey, Patrick, Brandon, James, Michael, Amber , Kaden and Tori and Dawson , Ethan, Kellie, Isaiah, Kalla, Eva, Emily. His mother in law Linda Williams, father in law John Williams, father in law Rudy Guerrero and brother in law Dave Guerrero miss him Wade was like a brother to Dave.Grandchilderen James wade McGowan Dixie Mae and Brooklyn faith McGowan His grandchildren will only know him by stories. He had a farewell from his trucking buddies when a Bull wagon was at the front of his funeral precession. Wade was a great man and very loved. God has a true treasure in heaven.
