ABBOTT, NANCY CHAMBERS – 89, of Golden Living Center died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of LEWIS CALVIN ABBOTT and a member of Parksville Christian Church. Born in Scott County, Tenn., on Sept 9, 1894, she was the daughter of the late FIELDING and RACHEL MARCUM CHAMBERS. Survivors include two sons, EMANUEL and HUBERT ABBOTT, both of Danville; five daughters, Mrs. OTIS (EVELYN) REED of Parksville, Mrs. CHARLES (EDITH) KIDD, DOROTHY RECORD and Mrs. LEE (HAZEL) BRANT, all of Danville; and Mrs. J.R. BURNSIDE of Lancaster; 30 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and a sister, VINEY HONEYCUTT of Oneida, Tenn. Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Stith Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. ED ORBERSON. Burial will be in Parksville Cemetery. Visitation is at the funeral home from 3 to 5 ad 7 to 9 p.m. today. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Danville-Boyle County Rescue Squad or the Parksville rescue Squad.
