Princess Anina Gregorievna Gagarin:

A descendant of Rurik of Russia (Grand Prince of Novgorod, (born about A.D. 830, d.879), "Princess Anina Gregorievna Gagarin-Sturdza-Puech", was a daughter born to Prince Gregori Evguenievitch Gagarin-Sturdza (1840-1903) and Princess Anna Mlodetzky (1837-1909), on the 13th of June 1868, in Odessa, Ukraine. She was first married to Alexis Ivanovitch Minitzky, with whom she bore one child, a daughter: Helen Minitzky (1893-1977). A second marriage (on May 11th, 1908 - in Monaco) ensued with Frenchman, Denys Pierre Puech, a celebrated sculptor, and a French "Legion of Honor Medal" recipient, for whom she bore no heirs. Anna was also an artist, an accomplished painter in her own right (several of her works survive in private collections, ca 2009). Her untimely death in 1918 was brought upon due to illness. She had served as a volunteer nurse during the Great War of 1914-1918. A former residence: "Villa Manzyria", Cannes, France. Her family arms (photo at right) are scuplted into the cover of her tomb (scroll down). The grave is situated in the "Grand Jas" cemetery, Cannes, France.
