Ed J Hoyer, Sr., 77, of 524 Kate Schenk, died in a local hospital, July 22, 1968. He had been a sales representative of S. A. Spice Co. for the past two years. Survivors: Wife, Mrs. Jess Hoyer; sons, Ed J Hoyer; A. J. Hoyer, all of San Antonio; daughter, Mrs. Paul (Zuleme) Burgess, Burnett; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Blanche McNally, San Antonio; numerous nieces and nephews. Services 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Zizik-Kearns-Downing-McClougherty Chapel, Rev. W. F. Galbraith officiating. Interment San Jose Burial Park. Pallbearers: Ray Cotton, Larkin C Smith, Jr., Paul Burgess, Lt. Col. A Szalwinski, Ernest Nieman, James Mabry.
