Michael Leo Herbert, 49, of Rushville, died Friday, January 17, 2003, as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born January 17, 1954, in Rushville, he was the son of Leo and Geraldine (Davis) Herbert; both survive.

Mr. Herbert had lived most of his life in Rush County. He was a 1972 graduate of Rushville Consolidated High School. He had been an independent motor route carrier for the Rushville Republican and the Indianapolis Star for the past five years, and he was a lifelong Rush County Farmer.

Survivors in addition to his parents include two sons, Joe Herbert of Greensburg and Jason Herbert of home; and one sister, Brenda (Mrs. Ralph) Case of Mays.

He was preceded in death by one son.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Moster & Cox Mortuary in Rushville, with Doug Lee Officiating.

Burial will follow in Arlington East Hill Cemetery.
