The funeral for Christopher Michael Baysinger of Hartford will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Joe Tuttle of Bethel Baptist Church will conduct the service. Burial will be at Memorial Lawn Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions to the Kansas Neurological Institute or the Emporia Friends of the Zoo may be sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 175, Emporia, KS 66801.
Mr. Baysinger died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, at Select Specialty in Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. He was 22 and disabled.
The son of Frank Bailey and Betty Moellenkamp, he was born Sept. 1, 1984, in Emporia. He graduated from Emporia High School in 2002.
Mr. Baysinger was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. He also was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and Special Olympics. He lived at the Kansas Neurological Institute in Topeka from 1988 to 1993.
He is survived by his parents, Clayton and Laura Viles Baysinger of Emporia; his biological parents of Emporia; one brother, Jason Bailey of Emporia; six sisters, April Chapman, Misty Slater, Amber Baysinger, Destiney Baysinger, all of Emporia, and Jennifer Baysinger and Victoria Baysinger, both of Columbia, Mo.; and his grandparents, Gilbert and JoAnn Baysinger and Barbara Bailey of Emporia.
Another brother, H.P. Young, and grandparents Claude and Geraldine Viles died earlier.
