Daniel Adams was born June 30, 1790 in NC, and died in Hardin Co., TN and is buried in Lebanon Cemt.. He married Susannah Fielder April 10, 1811 in Williamson Co., TN ). After his father died, Daniel, at age 12 yrs. of age, and a brother was bounded out to Alexander Smith. Alexander Smith was to teach them the trade of hattery and teach them to read and write English and arithmetic as far as the rule of three, and give them $7. and a suit of clothes at the expiration of their term. He married Susannah FIELDER in Williamson Co. TN on 10 April 1811 with William P. Harrison as a witness and James Wisenor as bondsman. On Jan. 31, 1818 Daniel enlisted in the Andrews Co., 2nd. Regiment, Volunteer Mounted Gunmen, West Tenn. and served in the Seminole Indian War under Capt. T. B. Andrews and 2nd. Col. Thomas Williamson. He was mustered out at Columbia, TN on June 30, 1818. Daniel later moved to Lauderdale Co. Al. and than up the river to Hardin Co. TN by 1836. Daniel died sometime after the census of 1860 and is buried in Lebanon Cemt. near Sardis, TN His grave is marked by a military tombstone. (This tombstone originally read: Daniel Adams Andrews; however, Andrews was the name of the company he served in and some how when the tombstone was issued the name was inscribed in error. This has now been corrected by the Veterans Administration and a new tombstone now marks Daniel's grave.)
