Soldiers' Home Notes
Cyrus S. Beers died in the hospital Tuesday night after an illness of several months. He came to the Home from Crete Nov. 15, 1901. Mr. Beers was a member of Company B, Fourth Rhode Island infantry and served sixteen months in the army. He was born in Massachusetts and leaves a wife to mourn his loss.

Mr. Beers was buried from the chapel Friday. His son came for the funeral.

Cyrus S. Beers was my great-great grandfather and was born on 3 Sep 1840 and died on 26 May 1909. He was the husband of Julia Ann Dennis (b. 1845), father of Walter E. Beers (b. 1868) and Mary Ella (Beers) Green (1873 – 1911).
