OBITUARY Iron River Reporter Sep 1 1939 "Mrs. Bouchard Is Dead At 82: Resident of City For Half Century Dies At Home Yesterday"
Mrs. Anna Bouchard, 82, a resident of Iron River for half a century, died yesterday afternoon at 4 p.m. at her home on Fourth Avenue. She had been in ill health for three months.
Funeral rites have been set for Monday morning. The services will be held from the home at 8:30 a.m. and at St. Agnes church at 9 a.m. with Rev. Fr. George Dingfelder officiating.
Interment will be in Resthaven cemetery beside her husband Arthur Bouchard, who died Sept. 5, 1936.
She was born in Stanfal, Quebec, Canada, Sept. 29, 1857 and as a young woman of 16 moved to the Upper Peninsula and settled in Munising.
In 1890 she moved to Iron River and lived there continuously for the last 49 years.
She was a member of St. Agnes Altar society.
Surviving her are three sons, Fred and Joseph Papin, and Arthur Bouchard, all of Iron River , and two daughters, Mrs. Roy Dunn, Saginaw, and Mrs. C.F. Bebeau, Muskegon; three brothers, Sam and Fred Nault of Iron River and Peter Nault, Milwaukee; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Drouillet and Mrs. Georgina Goulet, both of Iron River. There are 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Her mother Mrs. Philomene Nault died in Iron River township March 11 this year at the age of 98.
The body will be brought from the Buchanan Funeral home to the Bouchard residence this afternoon.
The women of the Altar society will meet Sunday evening at the residence at 7:30 p.m. to recite the rosary. They will attend the funeral service in a body.
