Harold E. Willis Sr., 66, of Caruthersville, died May 30, 1991 at Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis. Born June 9, 1924 in Caruthersville, he was the son of Robert Leslie and Lydia M. Cole Willis. He attended Caruthersville Schools and was a World War II veteran. He worked as a plumber in Caruthersville for many years. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a member and past president of Caruthersville Lions Club. He was the current regional chairman, district leader dog chairman and a Mid-South regional director. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Wanda Watkins Willis of Caruthersville; Five children, Chris Jean Smith of Taylor, Mich., Harold E. Willis Jr. of Marietta, Ga., Brenda Sue Mott of Caruthersville, Ralph Willis of Virginia Beach, Va., and Patricia Ann Willis of Houston; One brother and four sisters: Twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were June 1 at 11 a.m. at Central Church of Christ, the Rev. Roy Edwards, Lions district governor, officiating, with burial in Maple Cemetery, H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville in charge.
