ABBIE BOYD
Funeral services for Abbie Boyd were held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, at the home of her brother, J. H. Woodman.
Mrs. Boyd passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gail Camblin, at Atlantic, Iowa, Thursday evening after a lingering illness. However, she had not been confined to her bed but a very short time. Mrs. Boyd was 59 years of age at the time of her death.
Abbie Boyd was born and grew to young womanhood in Russell. She was the daughter of the late A. J. Woodman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Boyd, who died in 1934.
Two children remain to mourn the departure of their mother, Mrs. Alice Camblin of Atlantic, Iowa and Chandler Boyd of Austin, Minnesota.
The body was brought to Russell Saturday and funeral services were held Sunday at the Woodman home, by Rev. Wm. Mack of Des Moines, a personal friend of the family. Interment was made in the Russell cemetery.
Friends from a distance who attended the funeral were: Mrs. Marcus Buck, Mrs. Mabel Sheriff, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Sayler, Mr. and Mrs. Frank DeLano and Miss Martha Larimer, all of Des Moines; Mrs. L. Allen of Ames and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Gookin of Chariton.
