JOHN C. ANDERSON CALLED BY DEATH

WELL-KNOWN SANGAMON RESIDENT
DIED AT HOME NEAR WOODSIDE.

Decedent was born in Chatham and
Had Lived in That Part of County His
Entire Life.

Anderson- Died at 3:45 o'clock Sunday
morning, April 21, 1912, at the family
residence, six miles south of the city on
Sixth Street, after an illness of three weeks.
John C. Anderson, aged 42 years, 6 months,
and 11 days
The funeral will be held from the residence
tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Interment
will be made in Cumberland cemetery.
The decedent was the son of Mr. and
Mrs. John Anderson. He was born in Chatham
Oct. 30, 1870, and he grew to manhood. He
was united in marriage with Katherine
Carpenter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. S
Carpenter in 1892.Three children were born
to this union, two sons and one daughter.
One son Walter died in infancy. Mrs. Katherine
Anderson died in 1899.
In 1906, Mr. Anderson was united in marriage
with Miss Florence Drennan, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. B. F. Drennan of this city.
Mr. Anderson had been engaged in farming
and stock raising all his life He was a member
of the Modern Woodmen of America.
He is survived by his widow Mrs. Florence
Anderson and two children Harry G. Anderson
and Luella Pearl Anderson, both living at home;
his mother Mrs. A. Anderson of this city; four
sisters, Mrs. J. T. Byers, Mrs. Pearl Garber of
Kentucky; Mrs. S. E. Moore of Williamsville and
Mrs. M. J. Smith of Springfield
