She was a member of Seven Sorrows Of The Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, a member of Middletown Historical Society, a graduate of the former Middletown High School, Class of 1942, and a member of High School Alumni Association.
Jackie enjoyed bowling, her monthly reunion with her nursing class of 1946 and especially the love she received from her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, George F. Conjar Jr., brothers, Edward, Wallace and Terry Laverty. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, George F. Conjar Sr.; daughters, Susan L. Bitner of Hummelstown, Barbara M. Conjar of Palmyra; sons, Edward L. and wife Jo Ann Conjar of Lititz, Steven M. and wife Elizabeth Conjar of West Chester; brother, Larry L. Laverty of Florida; seven grandchildren, Aron Bitner, Kelly Margera, Ashley Dinsmore, Jessica Conjar, Christopher Conjar, Chase Conjar, and Kristianna Conjar; three great-grandchildren, Ava, Scarlett, and London Margera. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at Seven Sorrows Church, with the Rev, Louis P. Ogden as celebrant. Burial will be in the Middletown Cemetery.
