Clara was killed as a result of Enemy Action during the Great War-her death is recorded in the East End of London, the centre of Britain's Jewish population in those days. Deaths by Enemy Action in the first world war were not recorded in the same way as those during WWII. There are no details at the present time of what exactly caused her demise- Germany did use Gotha Bombers to attack London but it is more likely that it was a bomb from one of the many Zeppelin airship raids. She was 16 years old and the daughter of Simon and the late Rebecca Lewis.
