Funeral services for Marten L. Bradley, 78, of Weatherford, OK, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 17, 2004 at the Main Street Church of Chirst in Lockney with Jerry Klein, Jay Don Poindexter and Russell Harris, officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. at O.M. Cemetery in Hollis, OK under the direction of Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home of Lockney.
Mr. Bradley died Monday, September 13, 2004 in Lockney.
He was born October 11, 1925 in Lookeba, OK to the late William Lester and Bertha Ina Bradley. He married Dorothy Royal on May 25, 1946 in Hollis, OK. They moved to Lockney from Hollis in 1950. She preceded him in death on August 27, 1988 in Hollis, OK. He married Joyce Lukenga on December 20, 1990. He served in the Army during WWII. He was a farmer and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Bradley of Weatherford, OK; one son, Van Bradley of Lockney; one step-son, Larry Hixon of Sapulpa, OK; three daughters, Joy Hardy of Mena, AK, Gay Huddleston of Sapulpa, OK, Glee O'Banion of Lubbock, TX; two step-daughters, Sharon Scales of Eakly, OK, Verlene Burchfield of Calumet, OK; two brothers, Marvin Bradley of Fort Cobb, OK, Melvin Bradley of Lockney; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Hospice Hands of west texas, 305 N. Main, Lockney, TX 79241 or to the Tipton Children's Home of Tipton, OK.
