Son of Freeman and Margaret Ervin Coggins and husband of Mrs. Hester Dorman Coggins. A native of New Prospect, SC, died Jan. 9, 1944, at 5 o'clock at a Spartanburg hospital. Survivors included, his wife, children; Miss Aileen Coggins, Mrs. H. L. Scott, Miss Mattie Coggins, Harold, Norbert, Paul, George, and Woodrow Coggins, brothers; J. E., A. B., A. E. and N. P. Coggins, two sisters; Mrs. C. C. Ramsey, and Mrs. W. H. Wingo. He was 79 years of age at his death and interment was in the Campobello First Baptist Church Cemetery.
