She was born Mar. 31, 1897, in Weatherford, Texas, the daughter of A.J. and Lucy Jane Sosebee Anderson. She and Milem Taylor Adkins were married Oct. 7, 1918, in Panama, Okla.
She moved to Missouri in 1924, and had lived in Morehouse since 1945. She was a charter member of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her husband; a son, J. Elvin Adkins; a daughter, Opal Jackson; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son.
Funeral service will be held Saturday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Gravesite Details
Both Mr. and Mrs. Adkin's obit state burial at Garden of Memories, but the stone is at Memorial Park. Certain of this as Garden of Memories has no upright stones.
