CO C 4th VA Inf. Span Amer War∼Albert was the son of Juan Diaz Barreto and Maria Dolores de Castro from Havana, Cuba. The family lived in Baltimore, Maryland until about 1880 when they moved to New York City and then to Port Chester, New York. Albert attended St. John's College in New York and was in the Spanish-American War in 1898. He married Eleanor Brooks Tindall about 1902 and Margaret Loretta Wise in 1915. He had no children.
