Two Residents of Nichols Die
Theodore Richarz, 84, and Mrs. Elmer Pike, 65, Are Called to Rest
Funeral services for Mrs. Elmer Pike, who died Wednesday in her home here at the ate of 65 years, were held at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon in the home, with the Rev. C. E. Clark officiating. Burial was in the Nichols cemetery.
Mrs. Pike, who was formerly Miss Mary Ann LaRue, was born near Atalissa, Aug. 8, 1864, the daughter of Richard and Mary Plymessor LaRue. Her marriage to Elmer Pike took place Feb. 4, 1889. The suviving family includes the husband, two daughters, Mrs. Jessie Krider, Muscatine, and Mrs. Goldie Holderman, Nichols; a son, Harry, West Liberty; eight grandchildren; and a half-sister, Mrs. Mae Stoner, Des Moines, Mrs. Pike had been a resident of Nichols the last 30 years.
Children: Harry Alfred Pike 1890-1965, Jessie Pike Krider 1893-1962 Golda Mae Pike Holdeman 1894-1988
