Juanita was born in Acorn, Kentucky on January 27th, 1924, daughter of the late David Colesen and Nancy Catherine Bullock Adams. She was a seamstress at Palm Beach. She was a devout Christian and member of Southside Church Of God Of Prophecy.
Juanita was survived by three sons, Lonnie Edsol (and Nancy) Burdine of Brownsburg, Indiana and Tophel Glen (and Connie) Burdine and Arvis Clinton Burdine, both of Somerset, Kentucky; three brothers, Ray Adams and Anthony Adams, both of Greensburg, Indiana and Billy Adams of Bardstown, Kentucky; five sisters, Hazel Carlton of Lizton, Indiana, Thelma Burdine of Hastings, Minnesota, Betty Adams of Greensburg, Indiana, Audry Newman of Lizton, Indiana and Faye Whitaker of Greensburg, Indiana; four grandchildren, Talmadge (and Mikki) Burdine, Timothy (and Carolyn) Burdine, Donavon & (Michelle) Burdine and Chad (and Jennie) Burdine; five great-grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oather Lee Burdine, whom she married on February 6th, 1939, and who departed this life on January 1st, 1990; her parents, David Colesen and Nancy Catherine Bullock Adams; one son, Orville Archie Burdine; two brothers, Orville Adams and James Adams; and one grandson, Tony Lee Burdine.
Visitations were held after 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 16th, 2009 at the Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in Science, Hill, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 17th, 2009 at the Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Tranthem and Bro. Roger Dykes officiating.
Burial followed in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
