Obituary: SUTTON - Parker B. Annis, 81, of 134 Burbank Road, died yesterday in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester after a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 44 years, Dorothy E. (Shea) Carlson Annis; three sons, Ronald P. Annis Sr. and John F. Annis Sr., both of Sutton, and Richard D. Annis of Dudley; two daughters, Carolyn D. Clark of Sutton and Madeline N. Carlson of Worcester; a brother, retired Navy Capt. Elliot Annis of San Diego, Calif.; a sister, Audrey Smith of Factoryville, Penn.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Deer Isle, Maine, son of Moses F. and Helen D. (Weed) Annis, and graduated from Deer Isle High School. He lived five years in Worcester before moving to Sutton in 1952.
Mr. Annis was a wheel shaver for 35 years at Norton Company in Worcester, retiring in 1974. He also operated his own woodcutting business in Sutton for many years. He was a life member of Norton's Sportsmen's Club.
The funeral service is private. Burial will be in Howard Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Please omit flowers. Turgeon Funeral Home, 64 Main St., Millbury is directing arrangements.
