KIA June 15, 1864 in Battle of Pine Knob (Gilgal Church). An Unknown was buried next to him on the battlefield and removed to grave originally numbered D-790 and renumbered to D-3012 Unknown. They were originally buried in Mr Pritchard's old field, about 3 miles NW of Pine Mt.
