Mrs. Lavada Mae Aycock, 74, died Wednesday (May 10, 2006) at Satilla Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family following a long illness.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Ware County. He was the daughter of the late Samuel Mitchell Pittman and Lavada Rowell Pittman. She was a member of Gilchrist Park United Methodist Church.

The survivors include her husband, William F. (Bill) Aycock of Waycross; two daughters and son-in-laws, Cathy and Rusty Smith of Waycross, Nancy and Danny Johnson of Brunswick; two brothers, Jack Pittman of Waycross, Herbert Pittman of Adel; four grandchildren, David and Mary King, Jennifer and Matt Farmer, Andy and Kimberly Johnson, Holly Johnson, Buck and Julie Smith, and Christy Fox; seven great grandchildren; and her friends at Waycross Dialysis.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday (May 13, 2006) at Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday night from 7 until 9.
