Son of Alfred A. BARD and Matilda Ellen BRIGGS. Husband of Naomi M. HILEMAN.

Obituary:
MARSHALL M. BARD - Of Mount Union, died unexpectedly in the Highland Hospital, Birmingham, Ala., Sunday night at 11 o'clock where he had been admitted at 9 o'clock the same morning after becoming suddenly ill. He was on a business trip for the Pennsylvania Railroad company, in whose employ he had been the past 25 years as a purchasing inspector. Mr. Bard was born near Newton Hamilton May 19, 1898, the son of Alfred and Matilda (Briggs) Bard. He attended the public schools in Germany valley. He married Miss Naomi Hileman Oct. 8, 1920, in the Methodist parsonage at Orbisonia, Rev. Ira Duvall officiating. They had resided since in Mount Union. Mr. Bard was a member of the Methodist church of Shirleysburg. Surviving are the wife and the following sons and daughter: Robert and Max, both students at Tri-State college, Indiana, and Anna Mae, student nurse at Pennsylvania hospital, Philadelphia.
