Percival Anderson, 69, Mora, MN, formerly of Edinburg, ND died Saturday, Sept. 6, 1997, at home.


Percival Seymour Anderson was born April 28, 1928, the son of Johann and Sigurros (Freeman) Anderson, in Gardar Township, Pembina County of ND. He attended school in Gardar and Edinburg. He joined the U.S. Army on January 9, 1947. He married Lillian Momerak on January 22, 1949, in Park River, ND. They lived in Edinburg until moving to Hopkins, MN, in 1954. He worked as a machinist for Northern Pump Company and drove truck for the Gambles Robinson Company, both of Hopkins, MN. They moved to Brooklyn Center, MN, in 1957. In 1966, he worked for the Minnesota Rubber Company as a tool and die machinist. He retired in 1993, and they moved to Mora, MN.


He is survived by his wife, Lillian; sons: Mike (Sue) Anderson, Brooklyn Park, MN; Duane (Patty) Anderson, Champlin, MN; Steve (Cindy) Anderson, Champlin, MN; a daughter, Jennifer (Frank) Caligiuri, Ogilvie, MN; nine grandchildren; brothers: Joe (Adelle) Anderson, Edinburg, ND; Jake (Shirley) Anderson, Sun City West, AZ; Henry (Dottie) Anderson, Coon Rapids, MN; and a sister, RoseAdelle (Cecil) Sigurdson, Edinburg, ND.


He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Allen; a granddaughter; brothers, Jon Anderson and Sigurdur Anderson; and sisters: Bertha Mutcher, Sigrid Mandt and LaVerne Sundvor.


Services: Saturday, September 13, 1997, at the Pioneer Lutheran Church, of Gardar, ND.

Burial in the church cemetery.
