Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Bradley, daughter of the late Thomas Alexander and Permelia (Hunicutt) Smith and widow of the late William Marion Bradley, died at the home of her son, William Thomas "W.T." Bradley, near Springfield, Conway County, AR., October 18, 1946, at the age of 77 years, 1 month, and 20 days.
Mrs. Bradley was united in marriage to William Marion Bradley at the age of 17. To their union 11 children were born, four dying in infancy. Seven of the children lived to reach maturity.
Those surviving are W. T. Bradley of Springfield, Sam H. Bradley of Salinas Calif., Mrs. Bertha Smith and Mrs. Pearl Stanley both of Clinton, 29 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
One brother James Smith of Clinton survives.
Mrs. Bradley made a profession of religion at the age of 13, uniting with the Baptist Church, but in later years changed her membership to the Methodist Church. She was a good woman, a devoted mother, and a good neighbor and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Interment took place in the Culpepper Cemetery Oct. 19, 1946. Services were conducted by the Rev. J. D. Reeves of Clinton.
NOTE: Obituary has an error on BURIAL place. In July 2009, Beckie Williams could not find the graves of Sarah or William. When she went to Woolvertain Mountain Cemetery with a friend to find my other request, she FOUND Sarah Elizabeth and William Marion Bradley THERE! Thank you Beckie for being our Arkansas picture taking Angel.
