Anna Pearl Agee, daughter of William and Mary Olive Scott Reeves, was born August 18, 1895 in Steele City, Nebraska. She departed this life June 9, 1990 in the Lebanon Care Center, Lebanon, Missouri at the age of 94 years, 9 months and 21 days. On August 22, 1920 in Kansas City, Kansas she was united in marriage to Peter 0bediah Agee and to this union five sons and two daughters were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Peter, on October 20, 1949; her oldest son, Claude, on December 21, 1988; two grandsons, Dale and Stephen Agee; four sisters; and five brothers. Pearl is survived by four sons, Albert Agee, Crocker, Chester Agee, Lebanon, and Lawrence and Paul, both of Brighton, Michigan; two daughters, Tressie Scott, Brighton, Michigan and Inez Duffey, Lebanon; twenty-five grandchildren; thirty-nine great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. As a small child she traveled by covered wagon with her family to the state of Kansas. In 1925 she and Peter made their home in Laclede County, Missouri where she spent the rest of her life. Pearl was a charter member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church where she was an active worker. She had been involved in the Vacation Bible School programs as well as helping in the church nursery. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved working in the yard and garden where she raised beautiful flowers. Pearl will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a caring, Christian friend. Funeral services for Anna Pearl (Reeves) Agee were conducted 10 a.m. Monday, June 11, 1990 at the Holman Chapel with Reverend Lawrence Clark and Dean Rhoades officiating. Music provided by Kenneth Howe, vocalist and Gretchen Brown, organist. Music selections were "Safe In The Arms Of Jesus" and "Take My Hand". Escorts were Adam Agee, Peter Agee, Tommy Duffey, Bruce Agee, Harold Duffey, Jr., and Tony Scott.
