Funeral services for Mrs. Oscar (Gertrude) Barton were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 1989 in First Baptist Church, Olla, La., with the Rev. Glen Wagnon officiating. Eulogy, "Memories of Nanny," was given by Bart Stewart, grandson. Burial was in Brown Cemetery, Winnfield, La., under the direction of Riser and Son, Columbia.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Olla and had been a resident of Olla for many years. She was a native of Winnfield.
Survivors include one son, Clifton Barton of Olla; two daughters, Billie Stewart of Winnfield and Doris Seman [sic Semon] of Orlando, Fla.; one sister, Mabel Evans of Winnfield; eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
