Wife of Fred D Calkin and daughter of Samuel and Ellen Karalake Hacker of Whites Valley, PA born Oct 7 1864 and died Mar 6 1824 after a week's illness of pneumonia.Her death is a great loss, not only to her family but the whole community.
Survived by the son and daughter (in Fred's obituary - son Gail at home and daughter Gertrude, wife of Albert Holgate of Girdland; grandson, Edward Holgate),2 brothers George of Pleasant Mt and William of Peckville; three sisters Mrs Beverly Sherwood of Vandling, Mrs S Peck of Pleasant Mt and Miss Jane M Hacker of Scranton.
Funeral held in the M E Church at Milanville Sunday March 9.
