Passed away peacefully at home with her loving family at her side on July 2, 2009 at the age of 82. She was born in Jerome, Arizona in 1926 to Martin and Muriel O'Boyle. Her father, Martin was a mining engineer and her mother, Muriel a school teacher. She followed the death of her beloved Husband of 62 years Erle "Dwain" Campbell only five weeks after his death on May 27, 2009. Rae thrived on the happiness of others with rye wit, a twinkle in her eye and sincerity. She cared deeply for everyone around her selflessly. Rae took great pride in her penmanship and it was an honor to receive a hand written note from her. She loved working with her hands be it in the soil, recovering furniture, sewing, knitting, painting or baking. Her friends and her family were her joy in life and cared deeply about their well being every day of her life. We all respected her feelings and advise and only gave that advise if asked. She devoted many years to The Council on Aging and was instrumental in making the organization what it is today. She is survived by daughters Darcy (John) Marchetti of Windsor, California; Dana (Michael) Hanrahan of Las Vegas, Nevada; and son, Martin Campbell of Santa Rosa, California; also granddaughters Elisa Marchetti, Amy Marchetti, Kelly Mortensen, Tracy (Alonzo) Rizo, and great-grandsons Troy and Mason Rizo; all of Santa Rosa, California. We all miss her very much. A private family internment will be at the Santa Rosa Memorial Park at a later date.
