Mrs. Mary [Maude] Herring, wife of Frederick W. Herring, of Proffit, died Monday at a Charlottesville nursing home.
She was the daughter of John and Mary Riner [Root] of Ruckersville.
Besides her parent; she is survived by two sisters, Miss Hallie and Miss Marjorie Root, of Ruckersville, and a brother, Oland Root of Ruckersville.
The funeral was held Tuesday at 2 p. m. from Spring Hill Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.
