Anna Kristine Petersen was born October 7, 1852 at Aarhus, Denmark, was married to Mr. Jergen Andersen in 1876. Her husband died in 1919. To this union was born six children of whom four are living.
Mr. and Mrs. Andersen came to the United States in 1881. They lived for a short while in Michigan, after which they came to Dannebrog. Later they moved on a homestead near Cushing. They moved to Cushing about 22 years ago. Mrs. Andersen was a member of the Lutheran Church.
She leaves to mourn her death, three daughters Mrs. Mary Andersen of Omaha, Mrs. Emma Ludington of Cushing, Mrs. Anna Frail of Central City; one son Mr. Peter Andersen of St. Paul; two brothers Niels Petersen of Aarhus, Denmark and Niels Peter Petersen of Turlock, Calif; 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; a great number of nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 16th at 1 pm from the home and 1:30 pm at St. John's Lutheran church at Cushing. Services were conducted by Rev. S. S. Kaldahl pastor of the church. Burial was at the Rock Creek cemetery, where her body was laid to rest beside that of her husband.
