Leo Asay, 69, resident of Lovell for 61 years, died at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the North Big Horn Hospital. He was hospitalized Monday afternoon after suffering a heart attack.

Mr. Asay was born in Georgetown, Utah, Aug. 16, 1892. His parents were Joseph and Julia Sophia Roberts Asay. The family came to Lovell in 1900.

He married Lena Anderson in Lovell Nov. 1, 1923. Mr. Asay was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and a veteran of World War I military service.

Surviving Mr. Asay, besides his widow, are two sons, Rupert Asay and Lawrence Asay of Lovell; two daughters, Mrs. Sarah Devona Wall of Watsonville, Calif., and Mrs. Leora Lewis of Cowley; two brothers, George Asay of Gridley, Calif., and Vivan Asay of Mesa, Ariz.; four sisters, Mrs. Ella Allphin, Mrs. Safrona Cox, Mrs. Mary Lynch and Lulu Dillon of Lovell.

The body is at the Haskell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be scheduled in the Lovell LDS Stake Chapel.
