Esther Pauline Mills, first child of Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Eichelberger, was born in Bunker Hill, Indiana, August 3, 1895, and died August 10, 1922, at the age of twenty-seven years and 7 days.

Esther was married to B. O. Mills at Palestine, Illinois, September 23, 1919. Her daughter, Margaret Ann, was born on July 15, 1920.

She was a member of the Christian church and Eastern Star lodge and was also active in the work of the American Legion Auxiliary and Woman's Club, where she was universally loved by those who came to know her.

Her's was an exceptionally fine character. She was always thoughtful for the comfort of others and uncomplaining regarding herself. Her loss will be the greater because of these qualities.

Of her immediate family she leaves a husband, one daughter, her mother and a brother.
