Effie was the wife of Virgil Baird. I knew her as "Ms. Effie" when I was growing up. I lived two houses down from her and did odd jobs for her.

MARION, Ky. Services for Effie Baird, 85, of Marion, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Crayne Presbyterian Church here. The Revs. Thomas Henderson and Archie Brock will officiate. Burial will be in Crayne Cemetery. Friends may call at Tucker-Gilbert Funeral Home after 2 p.m. today.
Mrs. Baird died at 9:15 a.m. Saturday at Livingston County Hospital in Salem. She was the oldest living member of Crayne Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a son, Billy W. Baird, Marion; two daughters, Hilda Woodall, Marion, and Gladys Faulkner, Salem; two sisters, Estelle Adams of Stow, Ohio, and Ruth Minner of Marion; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Baird was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Baird, and a son, Henry Baird.
