obit- Daily Democrat, Clinton, Mo, Feb. 1, 2006- Emma Ruth Dehn, daughter of Roy Edwin and Dorothy (Hughes) Land, was born March 27, 1927 in Lowry City. She died at the Independence Manor Nursing Center, Independence, on January 11, 2006 at the age of 78 years.
Ruth was united in marriage to Lester Arnold Dehn on December 29, 1946. He preceded her in death on November 17, 1973.
She was a clerk for Weight Watchers for many years. She also worked at the Clinton Senior Center before she retired. As a pastime she enjoyed making quilts. She was a member of Golden Gate Baptist Church, Better Homemakers Extension Club, Pleasant Hill Quilt Guild and the Clinton Senior Center Card Group.
She is survived by a son and his wife, two daughters and their husbands; two sisters-in-law, as well as 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton, Saturday, January 14. Interment was in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton.
