Last Wednesday night a wire from Touro Infirmary, of New Orleans, brought the sad news to his relatives and friends that Mr. K N. Prewitt had succombed (Sic succumbed) under the third operation in three weeks time. In his death the Filth Ward and Richland Parish loses one of of her noblest, truest and most trustworthy friends and citizens. To come in contact with his big, warm heart, or a touch of his hand, was to know and love him; ever ready to help and cheer fellowman, doing his bit as best he knew, with faith in our lord and Savior Jesus Christ. What greater monument, or nobler deeds, could he have left to bless and live on in the memory and hearts of men? He has been a faithful and consistent member of Lone Cherry Baptist Church from his youth. He leaves a wife and six children to mourn his loss. Will say to the loved ones, since God has decreed that separation, heartaches and sorrow must come to mortal flesh, submit as best you can to His good and righteous will, for it is God and He alone that can fill the aching void and heal the broken heart, so with faith in the Savior take hope and look forward to the Resurrection morn, where we shall know as we are known and that God doeth all things well to those who love and trust Him, is he prayer of your friend, J. B.
