"Homer J. Conklin
Died 8-12-99
With a deep sense of loss on behalf of Homers and mine, I publicly wish to thank all the caring and compassionate people who shared with us his illness and heartaches these last years:

Dr. Koeple who was always there with support, comfort and care beyond his call of duty.

The medical team in Emergency and inpatient.

Ministry Home Health Care and all his aides and nurses who are going to miss his big smile and sparkling blue eyes, no matter what the situation.

These last few weeks, his very special person, Dick, from Therapy Home Health.

Homer's desire to never give up was an inspiration to us all and Dick gave Homer so much joy these last weeks, using strengths he had not used in years. It was a 24-hour commitment, but he took his last breath in his bed sleeping peacefully with his pets.

But he and I knew without everyone's care and support, neighbors, cop program, friends and family, it would have ended very differently.

So, from the bottom of my heart and up on some cloud, blue eyes twinkling and smiling down.

Private services will be held at a later date in in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. A special thank you for all the cards, letters and flowers I have received. God bless each and every one.

Delores Conklin"
