William 'Bill' Litke

HARDING -- William "Bill" Litke, 81, Harding, died Sunday, May 2, 1999, at his home.

He was born Jan. 21, 1918, in Genola to Flaudy and Catherine (Kachmarzinski) Litke. He married Caroline Pulak on Nov. 25, 1943, in Harding. He farmed in the Harding area. He was a caretaker for Holy Cross Cemetery of Harding.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Robert Litke, Burnsville, Daniel Litke, Onamia, and Charles Litke, Maple Grove; a daughter, Kate Krych, Harding; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Leo Litke, Harding, and John Litke, Pierz; and a sister, Alice Isle, Brainerd.

A son, Roger, a brother, Alfred, and three sisters, Rose Solinger, Clara Otten and Helen Moser, died earlier.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Harding with Father Roger Thoennes officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call at Brenny Funeral Home in Pierz from 4-9 p.m. today, with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m., and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the service time.
