John Kent Aton
Golden City - John Kent Aton, 73, died at 1:30 a.m. Monday, November 7, 1977, at Cox Medical Center in Springfield, Mo.

Mr. Aton was born June 7, 1904, in Aurora, a life time resident of Southwest Missouri, he was a retired employee of the Frisco Railroad. His parents were Benjamin F. and Florence A. Benson Aton. He was a member of the Baptist Church here.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Marie Aton; one son, Staff Sgt. Rodney C. Aton, Alexandria, VA.; a daughter, Mrs. Farrell Tindill, Lockwood; two sisters; Mrs. Alice O'Brien, Golden City and Mrs. Irene Forester, Verona; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Assembly of God Church in Golden City with the Reverend Elton White officiating. Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Allison-Russell Funeral Home of Lockwood.
