James Franklin "Frank" Aldridge, the son of John Dickinson Aldridge and Mary Ann Reid Aldridge, was born on March 8, 1863 in Georgia. His siblings included: William Henry Aldridge, Nancy Isabel Aldridge Brown, Thomas Bolivar Aldridge, Martha Ellen Aldridge Howard, Susan Elizabeth Aldridge Smith and John Robert Aldridge.

He married Amanda C. "Mandy" Tillman Aldridge on 8 November 1882. Their children were John Newton Aldridge, Dessie Lee Aldridge Lowery, Zona Aldridge, Pearl Mae Aldridge McNutt, Elsie Orbit Aldridge Hallman, Edward Homer Aldridge, Annie Aldridge McLemore, Bertha Aldridge McLemore, Lorene Aldridge Bell and Irene Aldridge.

Mr. Aldridge was a resident of Oakville, Lawrence County, Alabama and died there at the age of 44.
