Daughter of Johann Baumeister & Genovefa Dittmayer.
She married Heinrich Settele in Germany on June 4, 1904.
After several miscarriages they had a son, Alfred "Freddy", (b.1906, d. 1993, m. Leocardia "Dot" Sutkiewicz) and a daughter, Bertha, nicknamed Mitzi, (b. 1907, d. 1986, m. Arthur Belanger) before immigrating to the United States.
Her husband came to the States alone, arriving on November 2, 1907, when he became Harry Settele. She arrived with their children the following year on May 2, 1908.
They settled in New Bedford, where he'd found work in the cotton mills.
Bertha had six more living children and one stillborn daughter after arriving in New Bedford, Massachusetts:

Gravesite Details
She was cremated and her ashes were buried beneath the hearth of an outdoor fireplace on a small piece of land that wasn't sold with the house. The land was later sold outside the family before the ashes could be moved.
