Jeanne was born in Midlothian, Oklahoma on January 26, 1924, the youngest of 15 children born to Herbert and Ella Wilson Neer. She attended elementary and junior high schools in Midlothian and graduated from Chandler High School in 1940 at the age of sixteen. She married Riley L. Bryan in 1944. Jeanne was employed in Meeker throughout most of her life. For many years, she worked with her brother-in-law "Cotton" Irwin and nephew Richard, managing Meeker Tag Agency and Irwin Auto Supply. She also founded her own business, Sunbelt Equipment, in the early eighties. She was involved in various community affairs and maintained the position of secretary/treasurer for Forest Cemetery for the past 25 years.
Jeanne was a genuine ball of fire. She brought life to every situation she touched and was deeply loved by all who were blessed to receive her gift of friendship.
Her parents; brothers, Watt, Harold, Dewey, Morris, John, Ned Leo "Jigs", Walter "Red" and Bob Neer; sisters, Linda Brown, Clara Little, Ruth Gilliam and Bertie Irwin also preceded Jeanne in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Quatie Bryan Zubrowsky of Waltham, MA; granddaughter, Olivia Zubrowsky of Waltham, MA; sister and brother-in-law, Lucille and Horton Jenkins of Yukon, OK; sisters-in-law, Helen Neer of Kennewick, WA, Mildred Neer of Salisaw, OK, Margaret Neer Key of Chandler, OK, Mable Neer Woody of Meeker, OK; and several nieces and nephews.
The family requests that memorials be made to Heartland Hospice Services, 3700 N. Kickapoo, Suite #104, Shawnee, OK 74804 or Meeker Senior Citizens Center, PO Box 71, Meeker, OK 74855.
