The tone of his letter leads me to believe that his outlook upon life has materially changed as a result of the long opportunity he has had for self-analysis and to take stock of his obligations to himself and his wife, and community at large"
When arrested he gave the name he had been using in California of Walter J. Collins. His birth name was Walter Joseph Anson. He was the son of John W. and Delia Anson.
