Rev. C. M. Meyer officiated at the mass, and interment was made in St. Joseph's cemetery at Preemption by the Davis Funeral service. Pallbearers were, Ray, Earl and Bernard Barnes, Francis and Arthur Ryan and John Kinney.
The rosary was recited at the home on Tuesday evening at 8:00.
Born At Keithsburg
Mrs. Barnes was born as Katherine, daughter of William and Ann Connelly, on Feb. 18, 1869 at Keithsburg. She was married on Nov. 13, 1899, to John Barnes and they were the parents of two sons who survive, Francis, of Joy, and Joseph Barnes of Monmouth. Mr. Barnes died in November, 1941.
Mrs. Barnes lived all her life in this county with the exception of a few years after her husband's death, spent in Monmouth with a sister, who has since died.
