Bethel R. Barger, 93, of Loveland, passed away February 4, 2008. She was born in Detroit, MI on March 6, 1914 to Ney A. and Grace (Shook) Rice. Bethel received her Bachelor of Science degree from Washington Missionary College in 1935. She received her Master's degree from the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC in 1938. Bethel married R. Chester Barger on May 31, 1949 in Lansing, MI. He later died on March 28, 1994. She was a secretary at the Loveland Seventh Day Adventist Church for 17 years. She was also a member of the Loveland Seventh Day Adventist Church. Bethel sang in the acappella choir in Washington, DC. She loved knitting and tatting.
Bethel is survived by her son; daughter; brother; 2 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
