PEEPLES, Corinne E. Sumner, 90, of Zephyrhills, Fla., our beloved mother, grand-mother, great- grand-mother, aunt and friend, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009, in the home of her son and under the care of Gulfside Regional Hospice. She was born February 7, 1919, in Dade City to Hughey and Annie Sumner and moved to Zephyrhills when she married Logan C. Peeples in 1936. She was a homemaker, cashier in the family businesses, bookkeeper, seamstress, homeroom mother, sports fan, Sunday school teacher at First Baptist Church for 60 years, wonderful cook, a faithful prayer partner and caregiver to the sick. She was well known for her sweet Christian spirit and was guided by her strong belief in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Logan C. Peeples. She is survived by her son, Ernest L. Peeples and wife, Jimmie; daughter, Barbara E. Miller and husband, Glenn, all of Zephyrhills; four grand-children, Floyd B. Kersey III, Vonda Davis (Bobby), Holly Reilly (Bill), and Ernest L. Peeples Jr.; eight great-grandchildren, Ben, Elisa, Taryn and Logan Kersey, Cole and Jenna Corinne Davis and Logan and Luke Peeples. The family will receive friends for viewing from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2009, at the First Baptist Church of Zephyrhills. Funeral services will take place 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at the church. Interment will follow the services at Floral Memory Gardens in Dade City. Flowers will be accepted and memorials donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Zephyrhills Building Fund and Gulfside Regional Hospice.
